Snow begins to fall in October paving the way for skiing and other winter activities. Great snow machining or cross-country skiing is just a short drive away. Northern lights viewing is possible in town and on the White Pass summit on a clear night. The month-long Yuletide season brings a parade of lights & tree-lighting ceremony, caroling, the popular Santa Train, a beautiful Yuletide Ball and other programs.
